Improved connectivity will bring jobs in its wake 

A transformed town centre will grow Skelmersdale’s catchment area, attracting visitors and shoppers from further afield. 

That means more jobs for local people, of course, but to fulfil that ambition will require enhanced connectivity, both private and public. 

The Masterplan will see a new ground-level bus station, replacing the existing facility on the upper floor of the Concourse shopping centre. 

And we have a long-term ambition to connect Skelmersdale to the regional rail network at Glenburn. 

Improvements to private parking provision will complete the picture.
