Apprenticeships, jobs and local supply chain engagement 

We have bold plans to ensure that as much of the investment in our new town centre as possible circulates through the local economy. 

But it’s not just about using local suppliers and trades people, as vital as that is. We want to deliver a lasting legacy based on creating training and apprenticeship opportunities for local young people. 

We’re already working with West Lancashire College, who will be a key partner in our ambitions as the project moves forward. 

Our plans for a new business incubator are designed to ‘grow our own’, helping budding entrepreneurs access the space, advice and technology they need to grow Skelmersdale’s next generation of employers.
